DIRECTORS NOTES
Let me introduce myself, my name is Tim Ellis and a life long
resident of Sault Ste. Marie, except for five years, 1991 - 1996 when I was
getting my degree in Broadcast and Communications at Central Michigan
University...."GO CHIPS".
I have always loved Sault Ste. Marie, it's surroundings, and style of life it
can give a person. I knew after graduation I had to get back home, and as luck
would have it... it worked out and here I am. One love I have always had is
history, which is one of the reasons why I love this area. Sault Ste. Marie,
Michigan is not only one of the oldest cities in Michigan, but in the United
States. The history, legends, and folklore of this area is deep and rich, which
is why it fits so perfectly into my second love...Ghosts!
Since a child, my friends and I have always "investigated" old houses, and what
we thought at the time were scary places. This opportunity that has been given
to me through UPPRS, to put two loves together, is a chance of a lifetime. It
is very exciting for us to create the first ever Paranormal Investigating group
in this area. We will be covering the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and Northern
Lower Michigan. Our investigative crew consists of 5 people, all with the same
love of the Paranormal.
Together we hope to take the folklore, legends, and tales of our surrounding
area and investigate them to learn more about hauntings in these old cities of
ours. We know the tales and hauntings are out there and we intend to find
them, and share the tales with you. So it is with great excitement that we
embark on these Supernatural Journey’s as the Upper Peninsula Paranormal
Research Society, and we thank you for taking the journey with us.
Sincerely,
Tim Ellis
