Eagle Harbor Point Lighthouse

Eagle Harbor

Built in 1851 on the northwest side of the Keweenaw Peninsula, the Eagle Harbor Lighthouse may be one of the most haunted lighthouses on the Great Lakes!

Now a seasonal museum, the complex was formerly maintained by the Coast Guard.  One man who had been stationed there in the 1970's had so many encounters that he moved from building to building to find a place on the ground which wasn't HAUNTED!

Among his experiences are footsteps and noises from an empty second floor, lights that turn themselves on and off, and objects being moved during the night.  The most frightening of all has to be the sightings of a faceless man in a flannel shirt who haunts one of the main living quarters!

The museum is now open to the public during the summer months.
