Having the rich history that it does, it is no surprise that many tales of the supernatural can be heard throughout the Upper Peninsula. Native Americans inhabited the area for centuries before the first Europeans landed in the early 1600's.
From the lighthouses of Lake Michigan to the shipping channels of Lake Superior and mining towns of the Keweenaw Peninsula, ghost stories resound throughout the U.P. of Michigan.
